You have a choice of activity camps this summer, and it’s likely that your child will have a brilliant time wherever you send them.
But still, when presented with such a huge choice, you might have some trouble deciding where to book.
So here’s a few things you can take into consideration, to make your decision easier.
1. Location
This is the most obvious one!
Most people choose the camp that’s closest to them. But if you’ve got a long commute, you might instead consider booking a place at a camp that’s nearer your work, so you can drop them off and pick them up on the way.
2. Activities
Broadly speaking, your child will be able to enjoy the same sort of activities no matter what camp they attend. But all the same, there are some slight differences from camp to camp.
For example, not all of our camps have pools. So if your child’s excited about a summer of swimming, you might want to factor that into your decision.
Also, certain activities such as Lab Rats and Motor Mania only take place at certain camps. So if you’re child’s interested in science, or if you want them to build up any special skills, make sure you choose an appropriate camp.
3. Availability
Click on the “available places this summer” tab on any of our camp listings pages. This will let you know when the camps are open, and whether there are any places still open.
If your chosen camp is full for your chosen date, don’t panic! There might still be some places left in other nearby camps.
Every camp listings page on our site will let you know which other camps are close by, so you’ll always have some alternatives to consider.
4. Friends
Are any of your child’s friends attending Barracudas activity camps this summer?
If you want your child and their friends to attend camp together, let us know! We’ll make every effort to place them in the same group.
But again, if your child can’t attend camp with their friends, don’t worry. Our activities are carefully designed to make it as easy as possible for your child to make new friends.
5. Read the Reviews
If you’re really having difficulty choosing the right camp for your child, why not read one of our glowing Ofsted reports?
Reading these reports won’t just give you the peace of mind that your child will be happy and safe in one of our camps. It’ll also provide you with some insights into just what it is that makes each camp great.
For example, here’s the latest OUTSTANDING report for our Barnet camp.
You can read the latest report for any camp by following the link on the listings page.
If after all this you still can’t decide which camp is right for your child, why not give us a call? We’d be happy to listen to your requirements before recommending the perfect camp for the perfect summer!
