Barracudas offers outstanding quality childcare at our holiday camps in England for children aged between 4½ to 14 years. We offer bags of fun at our Easter camps, summer camps and half term camps.
It’s our mission to give every child such an amazing experience they can’t wait to come back! We build this into everything we do, from the activities we offer, to the staff training through to the venues we select.
We promise an amazing experience for children in the school holidays. We do this by only choosing venues that match our high list of requirements and activities that will appeal to kids and offer maximum fun. Our fantastic staff are rigorously vetted and fully trained so you’re safe in the knowledge that your child is being well cared for throughout their time at camp.
Barracudas has every child in mind. We know every child is unique, with different interests and personalities. With an unrivalled number of activities and a choice for every session, whatever they’re into, they’ll be tonnes to entertain them at our holiday camps.
With full days (from 8.30am to 5.30pm and Early & Late Clubs from 8am to 6pm) and more activities you can shake a stick at, you get value for money at Barracudas!
We’re only as good as their last day with us and we want every one of our campers to come back! We know it’s about the full package and so everything from the venue and activities to the staff is considered to make sure we provide the best service to kids and parents.
At Barracudas, your child isn’t just participating in amazing activities, they’re becoming part of the group and, along with the staff and their peers, shaping a unique camp atmosphere. It’s all about making memories at our activity camps. They'll not only develop key skills but also find new passions with our unrivalled variety of activities and breadth of choice. Not only that, children build confidence and self esteem every season in our supportive and caring environment.
Your child will get full use of your local camp’s facilities, not just a section of the building, or the sports hall. Right from when they arrive they are given a dedicated ‘base room’ where they can bond with their group and enjoy individual activities before the sessions begin. This also gives them a chance chill out and recharge so they're raring to go for the next exciting activity!
Whilst our premium activities are key to the Barracudas experience, it’s about so much more than that. We’re responsible for your child’s wellbeing as long as they’re with us and we take this responsibility seriously. As well as keeping kids active, we also support healthy attitudes towards food, encouraging healthy eating patterns during break and lunch times. As part of this commitment we have thorough Health and Safety protocols in place and extensive training on this for each of our staff.
Our Senior Management Team has over 90 years of combined experience in running activity camps. We also have trained specialists in Health & Safety and Child Welfare within our Head Office, giving you reassurance that your child will be safe in our hands. With all this knowledge in-house you can be sure that we’ve refined what we do and offer the best experience for our bookers and children.
Of course, it’s not just all about the logistics and their day at camp. Barracudas sets the bar high on customer service. From your first contact with us right through to your child attending camp, we aim to provide a seamless experience. Our Head Office team are here to help with any enquiries, support you through the booking process and continue to help throughout your child’s time at camp. Well trained and professional, our team are on hand to help parents every step of the way.
You'll benefit from our continued customer experience improvements too. We may have be running for over 30 years, but we're still leading the way. From contactless QR code check in to our parent app, we're committed to making things easy for you.
It’s because of our deep and ongoing commitment that Barracudas has been rated Outstanding by Ofsted more times than any other comparable provider, has an Excellent Trustpilot rating and hundreds of parent testimonials we’re proud of!
Barracudas opened our first activity day camp back in 1992. The founder, Neil Greatorex had a vision for offering exceptional fun and new experiences for kids in the long summer holiday. Having worked in the industry for several years both in the UK and rolling out camps in Australia, Neil had a vision for creating a new kind of school holiday activity camps.
Beginning with one summer camp in London and one in Surrey, Barracudas offered something different for children in the school holidays. Our activity day camps went above and beyond to offer the widest range of activities to suit every child’s interests. Right from the beginning Barracudas offered activities kids didn’t have the opportunity to do anywhere else. We continue to review our activities to make sure we offer a unique experience for kids in the school holidays.
Barracudas has never stopped developing. Now with 47 summer camps, 39 Easter camps and 11 half term camps, we’ve carefully managed our growth to make sure we offer the same exceptional experience at each camp and that every child has maximum fun. Our core values of communication, fun, innovation, personal development, professionalism and teamwork inform everything we do and have been at the heart of every development over the 30 years since we began.
