- Why Barracudas?
These groups normally have up to 24 children with two members of staff, and on some busy camps they can go over 24, but always with a third member of staff.
It's a fantastic age for these kids to be at camp. They have all the enthusiasm of the younger groups but longer attention spans, so sessions with this group are all about learning through FUN. At this age there's a growing awareness of teamwork and the children are more independent. Although they like to pretend that they are pretty cool and relaxed, the fact is that they're raring to go and full of energy. The staff use this passion to develop the children's skills and the kids look up to them as real role models.

Whilst encouraging more independence with this age group, staff will still ensure each individual child's welfare is kept a priority with reminders of hygiene routines, keeping hydrated, sun protection and healthy eating.
