PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To assist the Compliance Manager with providing thorough background checks for all seasonal staff members within geographical areas in a timely and effective manner, whilst maintaining high levels of diligence and integrity. You will be constantly striving to improve the efficiency and professionalism of working practices to meet the company’s objective of “clarity and consistency” and working “smarter not harder”.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Process enhanced DBS checks for contracted seasonal staff, ensuring they have provided relevant identification and documenting this accordingly.
Obtain and review references, documenting and evaluating on receipt, contacting outstanding referees by phone and email, and completing reference requests for previously employed staff members.
Ensure we have seen and documented proof of eligibility to work in the UK for each staff member.
Regularly update Compliance Manager and wider team on status of current DBS checks and references, communicating any issues.
Responsibility for creating/packing relevant equipment and material for various recruitment weekend dates and training weekends.
Collate and upload relevant documentation to Camps access folders in line with OFSTED requirements.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
5 A* - C GCSE including Maths and English, or equivalent
Previous administration experience with good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Demonstrate attention to detail
Good communication (verbal and written) and time management skills
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
Good proofreading and editing skills
Full clean driving licence
Experience using in-house systems
Experience in recruiting or working in a customer facing environment

Full Time Fixed Term role : from March to end of October 2024.
Hours: Hours vary throughout the year. Longest hours are in the lead up/during our operating periods where they are 8am–6pm but less hours are worked at other times of the year.
Location: Barracudas Activity Day Camps Head Office, Warboys
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
We organise outstanding activity camps for children in school holidays and a key part of that is preparing the equipment for use in the camps all over the country.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced warehouse operative who wants to join a FUN team of around 35 people based at our Warboys HQ. This is a mixture of office and warehouse staff.
As part of the equipment team, you will need to be dedicated to preparing a variety of equipment so the children can enjoy all the activities we offer. That involves maintaining, cleaning, picking and packing both current and new stock to 100% accuracy and according to inventory schedules provided.
The successful candidate will need to be physically fit as the work involves a good deal of manual handling.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivering goods to camps during our operating seasons
Picking and packing equipment according to schedules
Maintain, clean and repair equipment according to guidelines
Clean and dry inflatable equipment
Carry out accurate stock takes
Follow stores management system for stock in and out
Assist with unloading and loading equipment onto lorries
Make seasonal deliveries to camp and resolve on site equipment issues
Minor electric vehicle repairs of quads & go-karts (training given)
Take calls from camps during season regarding issues and top up requests
Prepare equipment for staff training and selection days
Adhere to full health and safety procedures and highlight any areas of policy weakness or concern
Assist Equipment Manager in other areas from time to time
This is not an exhaustive list and you will be expected to be flexible in your approach to carrying out your duties.

Driving licence desirable with 2 years driving experience preferred
21+ years of age would be desirable due to insurance policy
