- Why Barracudas?
Tomorrow (Friday 6th April) is walk to work day, but since our Easter camps are open and the kids are off school, we thought we would change it to walk to camp day!
We know walking to camp isn’t necessarily accessible for all parents, but if you do live close by to camp, then put down the car keys and get some fresh air with the kids.
We all know the benefits of exercising but walking to camp will make both you and your children feel great about the day ahead. Even if it is raining, grab your raincoats, umbrella and wellies and get jumping in those muddy puddles!
Not only that, walking is free so you can make some easy savings by ditching the car and using your feet. Plus, you will be making your contribution to a cleaner planet by causing less congestion and pollution. Even if you don’t live in the catchment area of the camp, you can always park a bit further away and walk the rest of the journey to camp – time permitting.
Alternatively, if you don’t feel like walking, or the distance is a little bit too far for you to walk, biking is a perfect way of getting to camp and it will save you getting stuck in the morning traffic – just remember to wear your helmet at all times!
So, put down your car keys and get those walking shoes on– trust us, you will feel better for it!
