We're almost ready to open our doors to our summer camps and can't wait for what's in store this year.
After the busiest Easter we have ever had, we're getting excited to welcome children to camp for a summer of fun.
As the rules have been relaxed following the latest government advice from 12th July, we're pleased we can now confirm we can go ahead with our full timetable of activities and a choice for every session.
Not only that, but there's bags of fresh excitement planned for summer 2021!
New summer camp locations
We're pleased to have some new venues for this summer. We opened at our new site in High Wycombe this Easter and are looking forward to returning to Royal Grammar School this summer. With a heritage going back 450 years the kids will get to be a part of something truly historic!
Barracudas will be at Christ's Hospital in Horsham for the first time this summer. Set within amazing surroundings and with superb facilities including an indoor pool, we can't wait to welcome children to this new site!
Welwyn children will get a great experience at our new camp at Ridgeway Academy this summer. Not only that, but we're also offering an October half term camp at this location this year.
Last but not least, we're thrilled to be able to offer kids in Wokingham a special experience at Reddam House School. With all the facilities, including a 25m indoor pool, for us to be able to offer all of our unrivalled activities, this is sure to be a winner this summer. The added bonus is this camp will also operate at October half term!
As if we didn't already offer more activities and choice than other providers, Barracudas summer camps have a whole host of new sessions available in 2021.
We offer an unrivaled range of activities that are fun, varied and built on our ACTIVE (Active, Creative, Teamwork, Inspiring, Variety, Energetic) motto! This year we're pleased to be introducing a number of new activities to our already extensive list!
From Stop Motion to Feel Good Yoga and many more, there's so many new camp experiences awaiting children this summer.
Stand alone Football Camps
We're delighted to be partnering with Palace for Life Foundation and West Ham United Foundation for the first time this year. Football fanatics between 7-12 years old can book these official week long stand alone courses, all within the Barracudas framework at selected locations! What's more, whilst they're improving their skills and techniques, their siblings can book in to a full week at Barracudas with a special sibling discount.
We're excited to see football mad girls and boys develop their skills and get an insight into professional football teams!
Additional pieces of equipment
The fun never ends at Barracudas summer camps! This summer we're offering additional large inflatables at a number of locations.
Kids and staff love these extra activities and they always create a buzz at camp. From Rodeo Bull to Assault Courses and Demo Ball, take a look at our large inflatables to find out more.
It doesn't stop there. Kids love to cool down at summer camp with our various outdoor water activities. Whether it's zooming down the aqua slide or splashing about in the water park, there's always a fun outdoor water session available at camp. Find your location for more details.
Our Skills Builder courses are back again this summer. We have a range of courses you can add to any week long booking at camp.
These specialist courses are a fantastic way for kids to develop important life skills such as swimming, road safety, self-confidence and problem solving!
Whether they're a disco diva, a mad scientist, a motor head or a water baby, there'll be a Skills Builder course that's right for them this summer.
A special visitor
We're excited to be welcoming Thomas the Gorilla from TeachRex to our Barnet and Watford camps this summer.
With an age appropriate workshops for 4 ½ -6 year olds and 7+ year olds, Thomas will really get them thinking in these immersive sessions. Exploring ideas around our impact on the natural world and learning about Thomas's story, this will be something special to be a part of at summer camp.
As a children’s charity, GOSH is close to our hearts and an obvious choice for us to support. Every day, 619 children and young people from across the UK arrive at GOSH for lifechanging treatments and with the money we raise, it will help achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs that change the lives of thousands of children – and change the world.
This year, kids will get the chance to vote for the staff member they want to get soaked in our weekly event. They can even donate to be the sponge thrower! We're looking forward to our fundraising events at camp this summer. More details will be available to view at camp.
Contactless check in
We're committed to providing the best experience for children and bookers. In response to the pandemic we acted quickly to protect our customers and staff at camp.
We've introduced our new contactless registration and collection procedure to make things safer, more secure and more efficient! Each child will have a unique QR code which our team will scan at registration and collection to sign your child in and out of camp. In addition, we have a new parent app where you can access your QR code, booking information and useful camp guides.
You can also now complete your Essential Information form (which we need to be able to accept all children on to camp) online. You’ll no longer need to print this off to hand in to us on their first day at camp.
Not only is this safer for you, but also better for the environment as these systems are now paperless.
We're looking forward to welcoming your child to camp for a summer of fun!
Places are booking up fast! If you've not yet secured your space, find your location and book online now.
