Summer Camp Week 5 Highlights: Going Wild with Adventure!
What an incredible way to round off another fantastic summer at Barracudas!
This week, children embraced our Wild Adventures Weekly Theme, exploring the wonders of nature, taking part in exciting activities and enjoying every last moment of summer camp fun with friends. From action-packed sports sessions and swimming to creative challenges and outdoor adventures, Week 5 was filled with smiles, laughter and unforgettable memories.
As many of our camps reached their final week of summer, there was a wonderful atmosphere across the country as children, staff and families celebrated another amazing season of camp.
Wild Adventures Come to Life
Our Wild Adventures Theme inspired children to explore, create and discover throughout the week.
Across camp, themed activities encouraged children to think creatively, work together and celebrate the natural world around them. From Active Play and Explore 'n' Play sessions to arts and crafts and outdoor games, children embraced the adventurous spirit of the week.
At Wokingham, Early Years children enjoyed themed Explore 'n' Play activities, using playdough to create their favourite book characters while developing creativity and communication skills. Meanwhile, Horsham's Early Years team combined the theme with wellbeing activities, including beach yoga, rainbow breathing and grounding exercises to help children relax and recharge.
Unrivalled Activities and Endless Choice
One of the things that makes Barracudas unique is our incredible variety of activities. With over 80 activities available and children choosing what they do throughout the day, every child can create their own adventure.
This week's favourites included:

At Tonbridge, Motor Sports sessions stood out for their excellent organisation and engagement, while Woodford's football, Pop Lacrosse and kick rounders sessions kept children active and having fun throughout the day.
At Cambridge Long Road, children enjoyed football, Capture the Flag, Frisbee and Dodgeball sessions, all delivered safely and with high levels of participation.
Making a Splash in the Final Weeks
Swimming and water-based activities remained some of the most popular experiences of the summer.
Strong swimming sessions were observed at Bedford, Chislehurst, Norwich and Harpenden, where experienced lifeguards and camp teams continued to deliver safe, fun and engaging sessions.
At Horsham, the Water Park proved to be a huge hit, keeping children cool during the warm weather and providing hours of excitement and laughter. Woking's Water Park sessions were also a standout feature of the week, combining fun, engagement and excellent safety standards.
Meanwhile, children at Wokingham loved the Aqua Slide and water play sessions, making the most of the final weeks of summer sunshine.
Trial Activities and New Experiences
Children at Chislehurst continued enjoying some of our exciting trial activities, including Laser Tag and Archery Tag, both proving popular additions to the programme.
Across many camps, specialist activities, inflatables and premium experiences continued to create memorable moments and opportunities for children to try something new.
Large inflatable assault courses at Wokingham were a particular favourite, while talented staff teams across the country kept sessions fresh, engaging and full of energy.
Incredible Staff Creating Amazing Experiences
As the summer draws towards a close, it has been wonderful to see the dedication, enthusiasm and professionalism of our camp teams shining through once again.

Captured Moments Around Camp

Celebrating Another Brilliant Summer
As camps begin to close for the summer, it's the perfect time to reflect on everything children have achieved.
Over the past few weeks, children have built confidence, developed new skills, made friendships, discovered new interests and created memories that will last long after summer ends.
From swimming and motor sports to arts and crafts, football, coding, water parks and themed adventures, it has been a summer packed with opportunities to learn, grow and have fun.
Thank You for an Amazing Summer
As many of our camps now close for the season, we would like to thank all our incredible staff, children and families for making 2026 such a memorable summer.
While most of our sites have wound down for the summer, the fun continues at Bushey, Chislehurst, Hemel Hempstead, Horsham, Norwich, Streatham & Clapham and Twickenham St Catherine's next week.
We can't wait to make the most of the final days of summer camp and finish the season in true Barracudas style!
