Activity camp adventures for 6-7 year olds!

Every child deserves an amazing experience at Barracudas. For our young adventurers we have age appropriate activity options so they can enjoy maximum fun whilst keeping safe. Electric go karts are available instead of motorsports as well as foam fencing and mini games to adapt the older groups timetable to their development stage.

We keep the structure that children of this age need, with groups capped at 30 and supported by three members of staff. This stage is key to their physical, cognitive and social development. Children aged 6–7 are beginning to express more of their own personality, show growing self-awareness and enjoy a stronger sense of belonging within a group or team.

Your child's Keyworker

Each child will be assigned a Keyworker, also known as their Group Leader, during their time at camp. They will be responsible for your child's welfare at Barracudas. You'll be notified of who this is when you arrive at camp. You can speak to their Group Leader at any time, just contact the camp directly to arrange this.

Having been at school for a while, they are usually ready for a little more independence and eager for opportunities to feel more grown up. We nurture this by offering an activity programme designed to stretch them in a fun and supportive way. This includes small-sided team games, activities that develop hand-eye coordination and imaginative, creative challenges.

At this age, children are also ready to take on tasks that encourage problem-solving, co-operation and teamwork, so we incorporate activities that help them practise communication, negotiation, and shared goal-setting. Whether they’re working together to complete a challenge or thinking through the best strategy for a game, they’re building confidence and essential social skills — always within a safe, caring environment.

Maximum group size of 30 children with a staff:child ratio of 1:10.
