Our team regularly reviews local and National information to keep up to date on the latest COVID advice for childcare providers.
As of 1st April 2022, COVID should be treated as other respiratory infections, with children staying home if they feel unwell or have a temperature until they feel well enough to return. People who have confirmed cases in their household are able to attend.
Children and staff who are confirmed positive for COVID are asked not to attend for a minimum of 3 days (5 for adults) from the date confirmed. Routine asymptomatic testing is no longer required for adults or children and testing is not recommended for children unless advised by a health professional.
If we were to have to cancel your camp due to COVID, we'll offer you a credit for non-Flex bookings or a refund for Flex bookings. If your child is unwell, we can only offer a refund for Flex bookings. If you haven't booked with Flex, we will not be able to offer a refund or credit.
We have developed controls, known as the Barracudas 4C’s, to reduce risk.
We're implementing our 4C's to make sure our camps operating responsibly.
We've introduced contactless check in and collection at camp. You'll be emailed your unique QR code to safely and securely register and sign your child out each day. You can also download our new parent app which we introduced at Easter for handy access to your QR code and additional camp information.
There'll be additional hand washing and sanitising throughout the day as well as additional cleaning of facilities and equipment.
Please note we have an Contingency Plan in place in the event that we receive a significant number of positive COVID cases reported at any one camp.
If a child develops COVID symptoms at camp they will be taken to a dedicated isolation area and their parent/s will be immediately informed. The child will remain in the isolation area until their parent or guardian are able to collect them.
Once the child has left camp all areas where they've been and resources they've touched will be fully cleaned and disinfected.

If your booking has the Flex cover we'll be able to offer you a refund if your child has to self isolate due to COVID. We are not able to offer a refund or credit note if you have booked non-Flex. Find the full details in section 10 of our Terms and Conditions.
Please be aware that if you are self-isolating your child is still welcome to attend camp. Please act responsibly and, if possible, arrange for another adult to bring them to camp
If your child has a sibling who is self isolating, they are still welcome to join us.
