What Parents Told Us About Our February Half Term Camps
February Half Term 2026 was another fantastic week across our Barracudas camps. Children joined us for days packed with energy, creativity, and the chance to try something new while making friends along the way.
At Barracudas, creating memorable school holiday experiences is what drives everything we do. But we also know the only real way to understand how we’re doing is by listening to the families who trust us with their children.
That’s why we invite parents to share feedback at the end of every season. These surveys play an important role in shaping our camps; highlighting what families love most, identifying opportunities to improve, and helping us continue to make holiday childcare easier and more enjoyable for everyone.
A big thank you to every parent who completed our February Parent Survey. Your feedback helps us keep improving and delivering the best possible camp experience.
❄️ Why Families Booked With Barracudas This February
For many parents, school holidays can be a tricky time to balance work and childcare. The main reason families booked with Barracudas this February was to find a safe, reliable place for their children during the break.
We understand how important it is for parents to feel confident that their children are in good hands. Our camps are designed to offer that reassurance, providing professional care in a supportive environment.
At the same time, children get to enjoy a school holiday of exciting activities, new friendships, and opportunities to build confidence. While parents gain peace of mind, children gain unforgettable experiences; making Barracudas a great solution for the whole family.
👋 First Impressions Matter
The start of a camp day sets the tone for everything that follows. From the moment families arrive, our goal is to make everyone feel welcomed, reassured and ready for a brilliant day ahead.
We’re delighted that 98% of parents said their first impression of our February camps was positive, showing that our teams continue to create a warm and organised start to the day.
🎨 Activities Children Loved
One of the highlights of Barracudas is the variety of activities on offer. From sports and team games to arts and crafts and teambuilding, every child can find something they enjoy.
Parents told us the programme once again delivered plenty of fun, with over 94% rating our activities as Excellent or Good this February.
Our aim is always to provide a balance of excitement, creativity and choice so that every child leaves camp with stories to share.
🌟 The People Who Make Camp Special
Our camp teams are at the centre of every Barracudas experience. Their energy, kindness and commitment help create an environment where children feel supported, safe and encouraged to try new things.
In our February survey, 96% of parents rated our staff highly for being friendly, enthusiastic and supportive during their child’s time at camp.
We’re incredibly proud of the dedication our teams bring to camp every day.
🔁 Would Parents Book Again?
Seeing families return year after year is one of the biggest compliments we can receive.
We’re thrilled that 93% of parents said they would be likely to book Barracudas again following their February Half Term experience, with 7% confirming they would consider booking in the future.
Knowing that so many families plan to come back is a wonderful reflection of the experiences children have at camp.
💚 Would Parents Recommend Barracudas?
Another important measure of satisfaction is whether families would recommend us to others.
This February, 92% of parents said they would recommend Barracudas to friends and family.
These responses contribute to our Net Promoter Score (NPS), which measures how likely customers are to recommend a service based on their experience.
Our February NPS score of 64 places us in the excellent range, highlighting the strong trust parents place in Barracudas (for context: a score above 0 is considered good, above 20 is great, and above 50 is excellent).
💬 Feedback From Parents
Alongside the survey scores, parents also shared some wonderful comments about their children’s experiences:
“Overall best camp my children have been to. Available as all day package is perfect for working parents! Unbelievable location.”
“The kids are happier here than they ever were at *** Camp. I used to really struggle to drop them off at ***, but at Barracudas they just go off happily.”
“It's a great way to spend school holidays, trying a range of different activities and making new friends. Plus it is great for working parents”
“Great holiday club with lots of interesting things for children to try, and also to learn to socialise with other children outside of school. Staff kind and helpful.”
"A few years ago my son started to come to a camp by his Grandparents - he knew NO ONE and we were worried about how he would get on. From day one he's felt so included and had so much fun that he always asks when he's going back. Over the years now he's made some real holiday friends and staff recognise and greet him each holiday. It is such a joy that it's not just 'childcare', but an absolute joy for my son who feels like he's had a really good holiday after a half term at Barracudas."
Hearing directly from families is incredibly valuable and reminds us why creating memorable holiday experiences matters so much.
