If you attended our camps this Easter and summer, you would have seen our posters at camp about our ‘What’s in the Welly’ fundraiser for our chosen charity – Children with Cancer.
We’re pleased to announce that during our 2018 seasons at camp we were able to raise £995.76 for the charity!
For those of you who didn’t attend camp or weren’t aware of the fundraiser, our children had the chance to vote during the week as to which staff member they wanted to see wearing the gooey wellies. This involved filling the wellies with horrible liquids such as baked beans and cream! The chosen staff member then had to the wear the wellies filled with goo and do various activities with them on!
As you can imagine the children loved this activity! In our feedback survey from the summer, we had loads of children saying how much they loved the activity with one child calling it ‘wacky!’
We just want to say a big thank you to all of those who took part in wearing the wellies and for the parents who donated!
We can’t wait for the fundraising to begin again next year.
We’re bringing ‘what’s in the welly’ back for 2019, so if you haven’t yet, why not book onto one of our Easter and summer camps for next year? We have our early booking rates available which cannot be missed!
