It’s less than a month until the summer holidays begin and mums and dads across England are asking each other whether summer camps are the answer to their childcare problems.
Those six weeks without school are bliss for your little ones. But they are fraught with worry for parents with jobs to go to.
There’s only so often you can ask grandparents and friends to help out but fortunately Barracudas summer camps are here to lighten the load – while making sure your children have fun.
At each summer camp, activities are laid on to keep your children entertained and enthused. They’ll sharpen up their sporting skills, head off for a swim* and get arty with a range of engrossing projects.
And you needn’t worry about the kids as fully trained staff will be supervising them throughout exciting and sporty summer camp activities ¬until it’s time for them to be picked up, all the way through the school summer holiday.
Of course, you’ll probably want to head off for some quality time with the family while the weather’s good – perhaps a fortnight in the sun, even. And the flexibility Barracudas summer camps offer allow that to happen … you just book the kids in for the times you need.
So, how simple is it to get involved? Well, first of all, you’ll have to work out if it will suit your child.
Take a look around our website and find out about the venues we run – we have summer camps in London and summer camps near London and throughout the South East ¬– and the kind of activities our staff lay on.
Don’t worry if you think your child might be a little shy among strangers. We’re experts in bringing kids out of their shells and helping them make new friends. The games and sports we play with them help speed up that process. They’ll soon have fast friends.
It’s also a bit of an adventure for kids aged four-and-a-half to 14. They get to go somewhere new, try something different, make new friends and take a bit of responsibility for themselves.
That responsibility isn’t anything too testing – just the likes of fetching lunch and cleaning up after it, or changing into and out of their swimming gear.
So as well as having fun and keeping fit, they’ll be picking up life skills and learning a little independence.
We understand that you’d rather be there to spend time with your kids when they are out of school. But modern life means that’s just not possible.
And we know how grumpy youngsters get when they are bored – so we keep them going with a packed schedule of summer camp activities. That means they get home tired and happy after an endorphin-packed day that they can’t wait to tell you about.
The two things any parent wishes for their children is that they are happy and healthy. At Barracudas summer camps, we feel exactly the same – and make it our mission to achieve just that.
Take a look at our 42 locations to find your nearest summer camp.
*For camps that don't have a swimming pool, we have an aquaslide for alternative water fun!
