A number of activities are being laid on for families and their offspring in Wokingham, including the chance to enjoy rides on a children's fairground.

Youngsters can go on bouncy castles, get their faces painted and take part in activities involving balloons, according to Get Wokingham magazine.

There will be an animal farm, candy floss stalls and an appearance from performing clowns, along with a number of puppet shows.

Wokingham Town Council is holding the annual fun day on Saturday May 1st at Howard Palmer Gardens, which is by Cockpit Path car park.

The gates open at 10:00 BST and the event will end at around 16:00 BST.

Recently, kids in Luton had the chance to take part in activities including arts and crafts and bouncy castles at a free community event at Tithe Farm Lower School in Houghton Regis.

They were also able to join in with the Play Rangers, who help youngsters with activities like ball games and parachuting, Luton Today reported.
