Easter time offers many children's activities

Summary: The approaching seasonal holiday offers many activity options.

An Easter egg hunt using real or plastic eggs has been suggested by Mend (Mind, Exercise, Nutrition
Do it!) as an effective way for children to keep active.
Treasure hunts at this time of year are the perfect way to combat the amount of chocolate children may be eating over Easter, the organisation explained to the Northamptonshire Evening Telegraph.
The weight-loss enterprise has compiled a list of top tips, one of which is to replace the traditionally edible prize at the end of an egg-hunt with a toy.
Shane Davies from the Pembrokeshire branch said: "Easter is a time when chocolate is everywhere, from Easter eggs to chocolate chicks and for many families it can be a tricky time to control the amount eaten."
Other ideas included decorating eggs and encouraging arts and crafts instead of chocolate.
This advice follows Lynda Pritchett's suggestion that drawing is an effective way of nurturing childhood resourcefulness in a recent Chattanoogan article.
