Science activities at day camp 'good for kids'

Summary:
Children can discover facts about the world though activities at day camp, it has been suggested.
Travel and leisure writer Mara Hernandez-Capili, of www.myfairsandfestivals.com, pointed out that children have the ability to absorb more information than adults.
Ms Hernandez-Capili explained: "Their curiosity is manifested in the vastness of their questions and desire of exploration. That's why kids tend to be inclined to bugs, computer games and building activities."
She claimed that trying new science activities at day camp, such as water rockets, making slime and fizz bombs, can be enriching for children and help to support their mental development.
The writer also said that children who are already interested in science and discovery will find attending day camp an enjoyable experience, while those who are unfamiliar with the subject could find that trying a new activity leads them to a new hobby.
Earlier this week, experts at Loveland Canoe suggested that children can become bored if they are not given chance to try new activities, such as those provided at day camp.
