The Government launched the ChildcareLink helpline and website in December 1999 as part of the National Childcare Strategy. The ChildcareLink national website provides childcare and early years information. It will help you find useful information about the different types of childcare in your local area and helps you to make the right choice for the whole family.
Childcare Vouchers
From April 2005, employers have been able to offer their employees childcare vouchers, usually in exchange for part of their salary.
They are a valuable financial benefit as they are exempt from National Insurance Contributions (NICs) and income tax.What’s more is that these are not based per household, but per employee, so if you are a two-working parent family this means double the savings!
Barracudas welcome this scheme and are happy to accept vouchers as either full or part payment towards your booking. Most employers generally use a specialised company to administer the scheme and they will provide your childcare vouchers that you send to us. Alternatively some schemes use electronic vouchers whereby the payment will be sent directly to our bank account.The main vouchers that Barracudas accepts are listed below, however we do accept other Childcare vouchers.
